Artists always try to be creative and forever experiment with doing things differently in order to "up" their game. Once I'd seen a fellow artist attempt a night painting, I was determined to try it myself but first I needed a recipe. I found the lions and the grass first, but needed a background for depth, so drew the acacia tree. Then I felt it the scene needed more interest, and perhaps a little bit of tension, so the zebras were brought in. Just add stars!
