It's sometimes difficult to convey the size of an elephant and it's only when you get really close to them that you realise how BIG they can be. A fully grown bull elephant can weigh about 6 tons, but when you're close enough, the size of an elephant doesn't matter-they're all big. In this paintiing, I cropped the edges making the animal seem larger than it was and added in dust to create the action.
